I鈥檓 delighted to have won. I鈥檓 seriously considering a career in surgery so this has been a real boost for me and I鈥檓 really proud. The competition was fantastic. There was a great buzz amongst all the students and it was a really fun day with lots of opportunities to learn from some very distinguished surgeons who were on hand throughout the challenges. I鈥檇 encourage anyone who鈥檚 considering entering next year鈥檚 competition to go for it.
