Diploma ceremonies are a highlight in the College calendar, they symbolise a significant achievement in your professional journey and formally acknowledge your hard work through attaining Membership or Fellowship of the College.
What to expect on diploma day
The diploma ceremony is a truly memorable day for you to celebrate your achievements with family and friends. On the day there is a real buzz around the College campus as the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ team welcomes diplomates from around the world to celebrate this special occasion.
Upon arrival at the College, you and your guests will be invited to a drinks reception where light refreshments are served along with an opportunity to meet the President, Dental Dean, members of the College Council and other Diplomates.
To ensure you capture the memories from this special day, a professional photographer will be available with a variety of photography packages for you to choose from.
You will then be guided into the grand Playfair Hall where the formal ceremony will take place, and you will be presented with your Diploma scroll.
Additional activity
If visiting the College or Edinburgh for the first time, you may be interested in visiting the Library and Archive to view some of the College’s rare books and special collections on display. Members of the team will also be happy to share the exclusive services available to you as a Member or Fellow.Ìý
We also have the award-winning Surgeons’ Hall Museums which will be open on the day of your Diploma Ceremony. Alternatively, you may wish to save your visit for the weekend where you and your guests will be entitled to free entry throughout the weekend!Â
International ceremonies
We are proud to be an international College and whilst most of our diploma ceremonies are held at our Edinburgh Campus, we also host diploma ceremonies in other locations such as Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong to name a few.
