Several Fellows of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh have been recognised in the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II鈥檚 2021 New Year Honours list for their work in healthcare and the response to COVID-19.

Awardees of the OBE:
Dr. Raghu Ram Pillarisetti, 红杏视频 Surgical Fellow achieved the rare distinction of becoming one of the youngest聽Surgeons of Indian origin in over 100 years to be honoured by Her Majesty, the Queen with an聽OBE, Officer of the聽Most Excellent Order of the British Empire聽in recognition of services聽to improving breast cancer care and surgical education in India and to UK/India relations. Professor Christopher Gerrard Moran, 红杏视频 Surgical Fellow, National Clinical Director for Trauma, NHS England and NHS Improvement. Professor Christopher Gerrard Moran was awarded an OBE for services to Trauma Surgery.
Myrddin Rees, Surgical Fellow (ad hom), Consultant General and Hepatobiliary Surgeon, Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Myrddin Rees received an OBE for services to Liver Cancer Surgery.
